Operations Manager
Stordahl Capital Management is currently seeking a full-time Operations Manager to join our firm located in Greenwood Village, Colorado. As Operations Manager you will be responsible for creating a highly collaborative culture of accountability, accuracy, efficiency, and transparency. You will be involved in daily transaction processing, custodian (Charles Schwab) interactions, compliance, implementation, and account maintenance functions, as well as collaborating with our Client Relationship Associates and overseeing special projects.
This is a dual role of Client Relationship Associate and Operations Manager. The ideal candidate will be flexible, as their responsibilities could change as the role is further developed and refined.
The role requires strong attention to detail and a high degree of operational and process acumen. The perfect candidate will have operations and management experience, with a great deal of comfort in using and learning different software applications.
Duties and Responsibilities
The following duties are generally representative of the nature and level of work assigned.
Operations Manager Duties
Planning, assigning, directing work, and addressing employee performance
May include interviewing, selection, and training new and existing employees
Designs, builds, develops and documents operational processes
Overseeing operations systems, processes, and infrastructure while looking for opportunities for improvement or revision
Works closely with Managing Director and Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) to ensure all operational, administrative, and compliance functions within the firm are being properly executed following regulatory best practices
Ability to identify the appropriate level of control and measures required for projects
Strives to improve processes to consistently improve client experience
Seeks to integrate new technologies to improve our client experience
Client Relationship Duties
Provide value-added service and support to Advisors with all client requests & existing account transactions and maintenance, such as processing deposits/withdrawals, transfers, beneficiary updates, new accounts, etc.
Coordinate with Advisors & CCO to establish and maintain client accounts, portfolios, and related data in our portfolio accounting software (Orion)
Maintain Advisors and CEO’s calendars using Calendly
Adhere to company policies and procedures to ensure client requests are handled within firm standards
Document client interactions in CRM in a timely and compliant manner and ensure that all new contacts are added and updated properly in our CRM system (Wealthbox)
Requirements, Experience, Education, Competencies & Professional Skill
Bachelor's degree is preferred
Five-plus years of financial services, banking, or wealth management experience preferred
Five-plus years of operations and management experience preferred
High level of proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
Experience with Schwab Advisor Center Platform a plus
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Strong project management and organization skills, with an ability to multitask between several projects
Ability to work independently or collaboratively, and within strict deadlines while managing multiple priorities and open projects
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
